Equipment Rental Policies

Rental periods:

NOTE: RENT CHARGED FOR ALL TIME OUT

Long Term Rental Rates:
Usually the weekly rate is 3 times the 24-hour or day rate and the monthly rate is 9 times the daily rate. Call to be sure of the rate for the time period of the interested item.

Overnight Rate:
Tools picked up after 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and returned before 8:30 a.m. the next day are usually charged the 4-hour rate. Call to be sure. No Free Time. We charge for all time out, including Saturday, Sunday, and holidays. Time charged is portal-to-portal. Hourly time fees are charged after 24 hours. Save money by returning equipment promptly.

Weekend Rates:
Tools picked up Saturday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. and returned Monday before 8:30 a.m. are charged 1.5 times the daily rate. Tools picked up Saturday after 4:00 p.m. and returned Monday before 8:30 a.m. are charged the daily rate. Shifts. All rates in this catalog are based on the equipment being used on a standard 8 hour per day shift; 40 hours per week; or 173 hours per month. Double or triple shifts will be charged accordingly.

Damage to Equipment:
Normal use is expected, and covered under the damage waiver. Carelessness is the responsibility of the customer. Those businesses and individuals not wishing to pay the damage waiver need a certificate of insurance naming McDonald Rentals, Inc. as loss payee.

Equipment Breakdowns:
We strive to keep our equipment in top working order at all times. ‘Murphy’s Law’ however, says that problems sometimes can and will occur. If you ever have any problems or questions about the items that you rent, please call us right away. Many problems can be solved over the phone. We will do everything possible to help you in a timely and efficient manner.

Metered Items:
Rates for rental items equipped with hour meters are based on 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, and 160 hours per month. Additional usage will be charged accordingly.

Identification:
A valid driver’s license is required for ALL rentals. A major credit card may be required as a second form of identification.

Delivery and Pick-up:
Delivery and pick up are available at reasonable rates. Please call for the charge to you specific location. All rental items should be gathered in a single location convenient for pick up. If you prefer, you may pick up and return your rental items to our locations.

Damages:
Rental items lost, damaged, or stolen will be assessed a reasonable replacement cost on the rental contract.

Payment Methods:
Visa, Master Card, Discover, American Express, cash, money orders and checks are accepted.

Responsibility:
Responsibility for rental items remains with the customer from delivery to return. All items should be secured and protected from the weather. Additional charges for replacements are made for missing or damaged items.
